Travel Tips & Information
When traveling to an event within the U.S. or International, the last thing you want to do is be unprepared and have to hassle through security, miss your flight, or have incomplete documentation to enter a given country. Traveling to an event should be as easy as driving in to work, you should feel comfortable in knowing what to expect, and should be able to adapt and overcome should there be any changes or delays in your flight. Below are some travel tips to get you moving:
Make sure you bring a zip lock plastic bag! Before going through security make sure all of your 3oz to 3.4 oz approved for travel containers and your metallics are all placed in a zip lock bag and you make these items easily accessible i.e. easy access within your carry-on or personal bag. This well help you ease through security and save you an average of five minutes. It is also helpful to carry an extra zip lock bag.
Connecting flight times:
Make sure you double check how much time you have to get from one gate to the next. Allow yourself at least 45 minutes for domestic flights and 1 hour up to 11/2 hours when traveling internationally. Missing your flight could mean being late to the start of your event or missing your appointment with your client!
Layering:
Often, you may experience at least four different temperatures starting from the time the airport shuttle picks you up, the airport, flight, and final destination. This can sometime lead to cold bugs, which can only slow down your productivity and can make for less than optimal meeting experience.
The Buddy-System:
Decrease your chances of becoming a victim, partner up with your staff and encourage your delegates to travel in pairs.
Visa Requirements:
